Schioppettino Ronco Severo 2022

The Schioppettino di Ronco Severo is an honest red born from the "ponca" soils of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. Stefano Novello, the current owner and winemaker of the Ronco Severo winery, inherited the family farm and breathed new life into it. His studies and environmental passion led him to revise cultivation and winemaking techniques to produce artisan and environmentally friendly wines, achieving organic certification. Thanks to his ideologies, Stefano creates sincere, genuine, and rustic nectars, a faithful expression of the typical Collio terroir.

To bring this Red to life, Stefano uses pure Schioppettino, an indigenous grape of Friuli, once abandoned for its pronounced hardness and only recently rediscovered. Cultivation does not allow herbicides and inorganic fertilizers. The plants grow autonomously following their natural course with the help of organic fertilization.
