Grappa di Barolo Roagna

Roagna's Barolo grappa is the epitome of class and austerity, made from the pomace of one of Italy's finest red wines. Luca Roagna is one of the true stars of Langhe winemaking, ascribable to a small circle of names whose bottles are able to defy time and excite numerous enthusiasts. The Barolo grappa comes from the idea of reusing the pomace that contributed to the Pira cru, located in Castiglione Falletto, and the result is, in both cases, excellent. Very few bottles for this real gem, which, despite its 45 degrees alcohol content, is endowed with surprising drinkability and longilinear structure. A great experience, capable of making any end-of-meal special!

Roagna's Barolo grappa is made from the distillation of the pomace from the grapes destined to produce Barolo Pira, a historical and particularly suited cru located in Castiglione Falletto. The distillation is carried out using a copper still that operates by indirect fire using a discontinuous method so as to obtain a pure liquid of perfect cleanliness. Ageing of the grappa, which has an alcohol content of 45 degrees, takes place in wooden barrels before release. A little gem produced in a limited edition!

Grappa di Barolo, as soon as it is poured into the glass, bewitches by virtue of its golden yellow guise. A nose in perfect Roagna style, millimetrically combining austerity and definition. Despite the breadth and variety of references, everything is made up of barely hinted brushstrokes: red berry fruit, leather, tobacco and ethereal notes. It is clearly on tasting that this distillate fires all its arrows, and while taking possession of the palate, by virtue of its imposing structure, it has the innate gift of keeping itself harmonious and balanced. Power and finesse, which lovers of the genre cannot give up!
