Sa Defenza is a Sardinian wine estate led with passion by the Marchi brothers, who in 2015 inaugurated the new winery and marketed the first labels after years of study and experimentation with local varieties such as Semidano and Vermentino among the white grapes. The estate's origins date back to the 1920s, when the great-grandfather of the current owners, a shepherd, moved from Barbagia to Donori for transhumance. Upon arriving in Donori, realising the agricultural potential of the area, he decided to buy 150 hectares of land.
